This was taken years ago when we had a winter of snow. I stood on a picnic table to get a view above the willows and tamarisk. Though the late afternoon sun can create some magical light along the river road in winter, I spent the whole day playing around with the red,white and blue.

The camera is an appendage through which I explore the desert with an aim to create artistic images of my experiences in the landscapes where I live using natural light and color, incorporating abstract and impressionist compositions. All abstract and impressionistic images created in-camera.
